How was your experience?
I was out with friends otherwise probably would have left at the intermission. Worst show I've seen at Playhouse. Perhaps they were going for high school musical vibe - like we are just joking around here. On purpose or not it wasn't working. The fight choreography looked like 101 level and the dance choreography was so not creative. The set was cool but under utilized. The projection effects on back wall were great. The songs from this musical are so beautiful and romantic but there was no real romantic feelings in the acting. The lead playing Arthur has a few heartfelt moments he seems to pump up but most of his delivery is repetitive schtick. Guenevere is pretty and sassy but her voice was better suited to My Fair Lady. In this production her voice is near unbearably shrill and offensive. Lancelot sang by far on another level but his acting was so so. The whole thing moved so slowly and clumsily heavy, it was really boring. Just saved by the beauty of the melodies.
