How was your experience?
ABSOLUTELY DON'T MISS THIS SHOW!! Albie Selznick YOU ROCK!!! He is an illusionist, magician, storyteller/actor, and circus performer all rolled into one. We had the pleasure of 2 young magicians in the lobby for about 20 minutes before the show--David is a junior magician @ the Magic Castle. Albie has also been with the Castle for years. The assistants in the show got the audience going. The magic & illusions are interwoven throughout the life story of Albie's love with Magic & Fantasy up from his difficult childhood until the present day. This multimedia presentation had some narration, media special affects & shared some of the mystery & history of Harry Houdini & his death on Halloween decades ago. Sorry to any conservatives, but I had to clap for the very funny political jabs... I went to 2 events of Magic illusionists at Cirque de Palooza @ Pasadena Playhouse in the last month, not only was this show just as good, I thought it was even better. The Oracle on the hill kept us mesmerized with his contorting face--loved it! Besides Albie, who else does storytelling while juggling long knives or having red & white doves appearing out of nowhere? This was never billed as a "CHILDREN'S MAGIC SHOW" & shouldn't be categorized as such, but is an event for the whole family to experience. This is true entertainment on several levels and both the regular price & Goldstar discounts make this show a steal.
