How was your experience?
[Edit: To clarify, I saw the "Road to Palooza" production.] I'm really torn here. On one hand, the individual acts ranged from very good (magic/jugglers/comedians) to amazing (the handful of cirque du soleil performers). On the other hand, the rest of the show was appallingly bad. In between the acts there was an ensemble of about 12-16 people in costume (some completely unrelated to anything) doing some terrible bits and/or dance numbers accompanied by '90s music (Chumbawamba? Really?) which seemed to take up about half of the production's two hour run-time. The whole thing just felt sloppy and amateurish. I think this production would have worked much better with just one or two folks playing Ringmaster for the entire event and dumping the dance/music numbers. That said, if you've got kids they'll probably eat this stuff up. And it's hard to argue with paying $17 to see some Cirque du Soleil performers do their thing. Just know that you're going to have to sit through some truly painful performances to get to the good stuff.
