How was your experience?
I took my wife for a ride on this. It's generally fun, and you get some great views of the Bay, especially of the Bay Bridge (from very unusual angles). But it has its problems: - They say "you might get wet". That's silly: you ARE going to get VERY wet. That seems to be one of the main things of the ride (which doesn't attract me a lot, I have to say). Make sure to dress accordingly, ideally bringing a raincoat or something. - The rock and roll soundtrack is a good idea, but the audio isn't loud enough, and they never let songs finish – they cut them suddenly to silence until the next song starts. This really detracts from the fluidity of the experience. - The rides are every 1:15 hours (4:30, 5:15, etc) and they say you should start forming a line as soon as the next boat leaves. OK, I did that: that meant waiting in the sun for an hour, in a completely unorganized line (several people cut in from the sides) and they have no indication of how many people fit in the boat, so in the end some 30 people were left out for the next ride. Generally it's fun, especially for groups of young people who are in the mood to get wet. It's not romantic at all though, contrary to what other people said, IMO.
