How was your experience?
Performance was EXCELLENT. Production was terrible (worst I've seen at Hollywood Bowl). They had camera problems all night, occasionally showing the floor and blurry images of nothing. During the tenor's main solo, they never showed him. The camera stayed on Dudamel the entire solo. Which is sad because the tenor had memorized it and wasn't holding his score. Also, they didn't remember to put up the subtitles until more than half-way through the performance. The production was so terrible that it actually distracted from the excellent performance by Dudamel, the soloists, the choir, and the orchestra. Definitely not up the the Hollywood Bowl's usual standards for production.
