How was your experience?
It was a gorgeous day. Before starting out, notebooks were passed around containing photographs that will be discussed during the tour. I didn't like that at first because I didn't want to have to carry it. But the guide said if we really didn't want to carry it, he would take it back but to give it a chance. I carried it the whole time! The guide who took us on the tour was passionate about Chicago history and told its history well and with passion. The tour distance itself is very short but the time it takes to go that distance is long because of the richness and depth of the historical stories being told. Bring a bottle of water and a bladder like a camel. There are no bathroom breaks during the tour. If you enjoy history, you MUST take this tour! One last thing: Gilligan's first name (of the TV show "Gilligan's Island" and only said once in the entire series) is "Willie."
