How was your experience?
First of all, I was so happy to have found a theater like the Tenth Avenue--a place where lesser known, not just popular plays could be found. "The Maids" was controversial when it opened in Paris and I think to a general audience, it is still controversial today. The acting was very strong, in particular the roles of Claire and La Madame. The venue is intimate; you almost have to be involved. The staff was charming and welcoming. Park at the city lot just a block away for $10 is well worth the money; otherwise, you will find yourself circling the theater forever in search of a spot. We had a wonderful evening thanks to the Tenth Avenue Theatre--it's a gem.
