How was your experience?

Clear I hated it I didn't like it It was OK I liked it I loved it!
I chose this adventure because I'd been to Tillicum Village on a class field trip when I was little, and I was feeling nostalgic. I went with my sister, who had also been as a child, and my boyfriend, who had no idea what he was in for. We were the youngest people there (in our 20s) by quite a few years. The boat was great. The bar, while expensive, was well-stocked and the bartenders were friendly. I was pretty excited about the popcorn. The journey was really pretty, and we saw a great sunset and beautiful views of the mountains. We mostly ignored the commentary from our "cruise director," but only because we couldn't hear it very well. It was probably very interesting. The actual Tillicum Village experience was disappointing. The food was just okay (the "clams in nectar" - just boiled clams in clam water), though I did really enjoy the stew and the bread. We had good seats in the "longhouse" but that didn't matter because the show itself was pretty halfhearted and sad. Maybe it would have been more magical if I had still been a child, or if I had had more wine. As it was, I experienced a lot of white guilt and depression. But the costumes were beautiful and the dancers were talented, so that's a bright spot. After the show, I chatted with one of the dancers, and that was nice. I wish I had gone on an earlier cruise (or in the summer) so I could have explored more of the island in the daytime. And I wish I could recommend this trip for people older than 11 and younger than 60.

Help others enjoy a great night out
