How was your experience?
It was clear that this was an exceptional dance troupe;however the seating was horrific. First of all it took a long time to get patrons seated and the ballet didn't start until 30 minutes after the stated time. Then, there were seating areas with chairs that were not tiered and therefore I spent the first half of the program looking through head keyholes to see anything and that was not much! My friend was on the aisle and she scooted her chair about 6 inches into the aisle and was able so see enough. We traded seats at the intermission and I was able to see how amazing the dancers were. When I asked people around me if they could see, they all had the same complaint. The guy behind me said he had a great shot of my head. After intermission many people either left or they found a new seat which isn't likely. There were many seating areas where the same thing was happening. Also, because they allow food to be served and eaten in the theater (what is the world coming to!!) , there were bodies interrupting the view walking down the aisle. It was a sad and sorry theater experience. Amazing troupe, crappy theater. And even through Goldstar the tickets were not cheap. If fact it makes me contemplate whether it is worth it in some theaters to buy on the cheap!
