How was your experience?
The Stoneham Theatre has very comfortable seating. The orchestra had many empty seats. Sparse scenery. The play is dark. Only 6 actors play the roles of maybe 10 characters. This creates confusion and it becomes hard to keep track of which character is on the stage. Multiple actors played the role of Edward Hyde. Maybe this is fun for the actors, but I don't believe it really works. Overall, the performances were excellent and the background music was also very good. I recommend this play only to those who really like Robert Louis Stevenson and this story in particular.
