How was your experience?
Most of the crowd seemed to like it, but having seen this show a few times before in other cities this was definitely not the top end. "Something was missing" was the most descriptive comment. We left at Intermission. Unfortunately that is usual for Seattle, while there appears to be a lot going on the product often seems inadequately rehearsed, dry, rushed, and without passion. Some of the smaller theaters outside the city sometimes do a better job, at least they are not pretending to be something they are not, try a little harder, and don't over charge. The venue also is in sad need of a rehab. A lot to pay for wavy carpet, musty smells, uncomfortable seats, and plastic cups. But as a local theater director here said recently "Here they will stand for anything" so I am sure this show ended with yet another undeserved standing ovation. All the shows in Seattle should be named "Anything Goes".
