How was your experience?

Clear I hated it I didn't like it It was OK I liked it I loved it!
I had seen this show on Broadway and on tour at the pantages, and I love the score! This production was such good quality! It's like they took the sets and costumes directly from broadway. The acting was pretty good. The actresses playing Elizabeth and Frau Blucher were very good. Great timing, and great voices. Frederick and Igor were pretty good, But Frederick played it VERY straight. He wasn't as quirky and unraveling as I expected. Igor was good, but timing was just a bit off. Great dancer and voice! Then, there was Inga. this part was originated by Sutton Foster, and this actress was no Sutton. Weak voice, weak dancer and no timing. She is very pretty, but this part requires so much more! They also had to slow the tempo fir "roll in ze hay" to allow her to yodel. Not OK. Learn your song. If she wasn't up to the challenge, they should have found someone who was. I went with my boyfriend, who generally doesn't like Musical theatre. He enjoyed it, but said that the jokes/gags from the film seemed forced. i agree to a point, but I'm not going to give you a rant of movies-to-musicals do's and don'ts. Great night at the theatre. We both left in a great mood, and that is what it is all about, right?
