How was your experience?
First of all, when I purchased these tickets, they were for the back of the Orchestra section. When I arrived at the box office an hour before the show, I was given Mezzanine seating. I tried explaining to the lady that I had purchased Orchestra tickets and she told me that the 'price category' also included Mezzanine. I felt this was a bit if a 'Bait & Switch' situation. When I asked if we could get better seating, she stated that Orchestra seats were not available. Now, about the show: I didn't like it. Don't get me wrong, it had some funny moments-particularly when describing the absurdity of Mormon practices and the history of this cult and it's Prophet Joseph Smith. I am a fan of South Park.. I have a good sense of humor and am definitely not a prude. With that said, I do not find baby f'ing, AIDS, female castration/genital mutilation, frog f'ing, dysentery and simulated sex acts with big black schlongs funny. I find it distasteful and juvenile at best - satire or not. Nor did I enjoy a song in which the chorus was a resounding "F you, God". It had a couple entertaining numbers, but mostly it was full of unmemorable music and a whole bunch of 'WTF?' moments. Save your money! I recommend 'Spring Awakening'....or 'Rent' instead. This was a HUGE disappointment.
