How was your experience?
My wife and i thoroughly disliked this musical -- the music was bad to mediocre at best; the staging was dull and unchanging; the cast was largely amateurish, both in singing and acting; the play was plotless with dialogue full of cliched wisdom. Need I say more. We were especially disappointed because we saw the artistic team's early show, "Nevermore" and loved it. I could never understand why it had never traveled to Broadway or Off-Broadway, if I am correct. That was the primary reason why we wanted to see "Crossing." In leaving the theater, four other audience members talked to us, all criticized the show for one or more of the reasons cited above. One woman walked by and said, almost angrily, "the directing was terrible."
