How was your experience?
Good acting, especially Vera, the grandmother. But, overall, the play was not as funny as expected - even a little boring at times. Typically, and unfortunately, the plays I have seen at South Coast Repertory seem to be driven by extensive use of profanity. While the use of the occasional "f-word" is appropriate and effective, the constant "in your face" foul language is annoying, boring, and a testament to a lack of creativity on the part of the writer and/or producer. Too bad.
