How was your experience?
For a preview it was really good, but they definitely need to work some of the kinks out. The plot is a bit hard to follow and while the music is really good and well sung, it's not terribly innovative. The whole thing does resemble RENT a lot (as another reviewer wrote, it's basically "RENT: The Midlife Crisis"). But the set (which includes a giant rotating mirror and semi-holographic faux 3D set!) was by far one of the coolest and most innovative I've seen in a while! I mostly went to see Idina Menzel and Anthony Rapp, and while they were both amazing, I left the show thinking, "Wow, LaChanze and James Snyder are really great singers/performers." Also, I stayed after the show to get autographs and pictures, and LaChanze and James were so incredibly nice. James even went back through the line a couple of times to make sure everyone at least got their playbill signed, even though it was freezing outside (that's a classy guy!)
