How was your experience?
All I knew about SUNNY AFTERNOON prior to seeing the show was that it had won best of the Fringe fest and that it dealt with JFK's assasination. What I discovered was a very creative retelling of the questioning of Lee Harvey Oswald during the 2 days between JFK's death and the death of Oswald himself. It was very fascinating to learn more about Oswald and the Dallas cops involved. And I was not expecting the amount of humor there was. The playwright did a good job of mixing drama with laughs so things never got too heavy. I'm not so sure what I think about the playwright's theories on Oswald's motivations, but then I haven't done much reading about the subject. The two stand out performances were Andy Hirsch as Oswald, and Darrett Sanders as Bill Fritz. I would definitely recommend seeing this show.
