How was your experience?
Delightful and rare production of Rodgers and Hart's 1938 musical that combines standard ballads with the new swing. Excellent lead performances and a nice all-singing and dancing chorus. The silly plot is set in Budapest (even though the music sounds very American), where an angel comes to earth to marry a wealthy banker, and her honest remarks threaten to ruin his business. Eventually she is taught how to charm people and shade the truth so that normal human intercourse -- and the family business -- can function. The best advice: "Do It with a Twinkle in Your Eye."
