How was your experience?
I attended the Sunday event, which was from 8 am to 6 pm. I only stayed from 2-3:30 though because of time constraints (it was such a busy day for me). This event was not what I was expecting at all. I thought the venue would be like a concert (or a festival like Coachella) but it's more like a convention. Different bands had time slots in various rooms and you just go to whichever room you wanted to. There's a stage in each room and seats for attendees. There's also a dance floor in both sides of the stage or in front depending on how big the room is.There were also some vendors in the lobby selling all kinds of things like shoes and cardigans. The attendees were mostly older people (55+) considering the genre. However, there were some younger people as well (my friend and I were definitely the youngest though - 24 & 26). Oh, there were some cash bars but I didn't get a chance to order a drink because I was already not in the mood to get crunk. The bands were cool, but I mainly stayed for The Red Skunk Band until they finished their set. Overall it was kinda awkward. I mean, it's all willy-nilly because you go in and out of the room trying to find which bands you wanna stay for. I wish I knew what to wear too. If I had worn a skirt/dress I would've dance on the dance floor. It was nice to see the older crowd enjoy themselves though (kind of like a throwback for them I guess, haha). Other than what I've said, it was an 'OK' event and I won't be attending again.
