Mezzanine (Rows C-P)
How was your experience?
It's beautifully executed... staging is creative, the dancing choreography is more contemporary than 'classic' (but, I liked that aspect), and takes quite a journey beyond the standard 'Sleeping Beauty.' Nevertheless, I'm disappointed in the absence of an orchestra. With such wonderful commitment to all aspects of the arts that are essential to conveying such a moving, powerful piece, the absence of actual musicians replaced by 'canned orchestration' is very much a letdown. If one goal of this production were to introduce and enrich young people's experience of the arts, PLEASE include musicians!
