How was your experience?
It was not clear exactly where to meet and when the guides arrived (later than had been indicated) there was no clearly visible way to tell that it was them. The local knowledge was very interesting but there was a degree of disorganization (overbooked and some people had to be moved to a second bus) and the tour guides would have presented better with a more professional appearance (company responsibility, not their fault) e.g. some sort of company jacket with name on and something decent looking as the thing to hold above the crowd. Having said that, they were very pleasant and helpful and quite entertaining. The website also advertises that the Brooklyn Bridge is included and this was not the case on this night. I thought that maybe I had been mistaken but I checked later and it was one of the main reasons I took the tour. The tour was a good way to get an overview of the Christmas lights in a short space of time (the walking tour of Grand Central Terminal took about an hour as did the bus part). However, the main things are in quite a short distance on 5th Avenue and possibly just as well seen on foot. You certainly see more detail on foot - which I did over the next couple of evenings (I am slow). If time is short and the weather fine, then this tour would suit.
