How was your experience?
This was a nice theater and nice event. To address some of the complaints of other reviewers: This is a very old building right in downtown San Clemente. We went on a busy Friday night and immediately found parking in the free public lot across the way, and there are a lot of free lots and street parking, so I don't think parking is a big problem. The theater doesn't have its own lot so you might want to get in a bit early if you worry about it. Also, its true that its an older stucco building with short ceilings, so its definitely not "stadium seating". We were 2/3 of the way back and could see fine, but if someone is tall in front of you it could be a problem. Not too much the theater can do about this, but the tradeoff is that the building and location have a lot of very nice character. The show was funny and the acting was solid. The taped music wasn't that perfect, and sometimes the taped piano was a bit too loud. Maybe they need a better recording or better speakers. The singers weren't totally perfect but were generally good, and their diction both speaking and talking were extremely clear, which the non-native English speakers in our group greatly appreciated. This is a very fun show and they did a good job so we recommend it.
