How was your experience?
Pretty satisfying; mostly I enjoyed it for the educational look into a Machiavelli other than the supposedly coldblooded pragmatist readers of The Prince tend to assume. Plot was hard to follow from dialog. I think it would have been a good idea to enclose a brief synopsis in the program, plus an overview of how this story ties in with the "end justifies the means" philosophy of The Prince. Improvised dialog commenting on, and perhaps stepping outside of original work is a bit too self-consciously cute, but it's kept relatively low compared to some other plays of the past few years (a production of the Euripides Electra at Angel Island a year or so ago was probably the most obnoxious in this respect -- see my Goldstar review).
