How was your experience?
My God! What a dreadful experience. Fortunately, this was the final performance of this adaptation, so nobody will have to suffer through it again. The décor was nice and inspired. Shows what a good artist can do even with a small budget. The outfits, yuck. But by far, the worst were the actors. The woman playing Prospero, could not even speak properly. Sounded like she forgot her retainer in her mouth. She lisped, she mumbles, she mispronounced. The one thing an actor requires, is diction. She had none, zero, nada. Besides her poor enunciation, the theater had no sound system. Most of the actors did not have enough decibels coming out of their mouths to be heard up to the last few rows. Conclusion: this production sucked in so many ways, and most of the actors were so bad, that I took advantage of the intermission to escape.
