How was your experience?
One Day in Pompeii was a very interesting and informative exhibit. They did a very nice job showing the way of life in ancient Rome, including artifacts from that time period and explanations of how they were used. Artifacts ranged from fishing and farming tools to medical tools and even construction tools that we still use today. A short film showed a timeline of events during the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius, followed by the final part of the exhibit - replicas of some body casts. These were accompanied by photographs of the actual excavation site. My son is doing a report on Pompeii, so he was taking plenty of notes throughout our visit. This exhibit is just what you'd expect from the Franklin Institute.
