How was your experience?
"Hundred Days" was an auditory delight, even in the first, incomplete preview. The female lead stood out among the singers, with a vocal repertoire running from adult contemporary to classic rock. As for the instrumental musicians, where else but at Z Space does an audience get to sit less than a hundred feet away from a cellist, an electric guitar player, a drummer and a DJ, all working together to enhance the telling of a story? The story is about a young couple who have only a short time to enjoy their marriage, for the husband is terminally ill. The playwrights/composers/leads are themselves married, but they employ a fascinating device to create perspective: having a second pair of actors perform some vignettes from the lives of the young couple. The Artistic Director of Z Space came out to introduce the preview, and offered all of us complimentary tickets to the finished show. I can't wait!
