How was your experience?
Pool (No Water) was a thought-provoking piece that not only had the characters looking deep inside themselves at the conclusion, but probably had audience members reflecting upon their own lives and demons throughout the performance. There was a sense of uncomfortability as the cast revealed their feelings of envy, jealously and even hate, for a friend who had left the fold after she had become successful. But isn't this what good drama is about? It reaches into the depths of your being and makes you come to grips with whom you are or what you could become. The ensemble of this wonderfully scripted play kept the dialogue flowing, as each of the 7 members interacted with each other flawlessly. The theatrical technique of using some of the players to take on the role of and speak as their injured friend during specific points in the play, added to its uniqueness. In this production, The Thinking Cap Theater really lived up to its name.
