How was your experience?
Eighth Blackbird is an acquired taste. But not a taste I have either acquired to or care to. Some of the music was interesting, but if you have an interesting musical concept there should be no real compulsion to repeat it incessantly. In all, it was a head trip, meaning the music was more intellectual and distant than containing any emotional foundation. Much of the audience loved it, what there was of an audience. Looking around I could see many chins resting on many chests for the "I'm bored and can't stay awake, mid-performance nap."
