Great venue, horrible play! "Rest" appears to be a leftist idea of both an important, social issue and what a true Christian really is. Amidst volleys of shouting, foul language, and conversations about masturbation and pornography, the play condones murder, encourages criminal cover-up, and mocks Christians. A resident at a rest home is upset that her husband, who is harming no one, no longer recognizes her. So she enlists another resident's help in killing him, then tells everyone he wandered off in a blizzard. In the end, the audience is made to sympathize with her (as if she's the victim and he's better off dead) and the rest home staff (including the one Christian, who's made to look weak, afraid, and foolish) covers up for her. Although the acting and writing were good, "Rest" is a definite "Don't see" - unless, of course, you like plays that are morally and ethically bankrupt.
