How was your experience?
A VIP dinner was prior to the concert and went longer than scheduled. The artist, Vickie Winans arrived late and apologized, but advised that she had no contact with the events promoter and had no car service, so she took a cab to the event. She apologized again, and the promoter approached her on stage and proceeded to disagree with Winans offer to sing a few songs and offer her jewelry as an extension of her apology. Unfortunately the promoter was upset by her statements and took the microphone from Ms. Winans and told her that she would not sing, because she, the promoter, was shutting down the event. I can only imagine the other comments that were shared about the "Gospel" event... it was very embarrassing to witness. I appreciate GoldStar and the promoters of the event providing refunds to those that spent money for what we thought would be an enjoyable evening of Praise through song.
