How was your experience?
Normally, dinner cruises aren't known for their food and my expectations were set pretty low for the food as a result. However, the first impression I got when making the reservation was how impressive the list of entree choices was. Since the prime rib was mentioned specifically, I chose it for both of us. I was still expecting it to be just the standard fare. When we boarded and were seated, it was just a very pleasant setting onboard. There was a nice dish of cheese and crackers and the staff was very attentive. The meal started with a seafood chowder as the first course, followed by a green salad. They brought out freshly baked dinner rolls and then our prime rib entrees. It was succulent and flavorful and the entire dinner totally exceeded our expectations. There were 4 or 5 dessert choices and the cheesecake and apple pie were our choices. We had coffee and tea with dessert. The cruise was nice and it didn't really rock too much. I was disappointed by the scenery as I had expected to see the national monuments more clearly, but that was just a misconception on my part. Luckily for us, the holiday decorations really dressed up the nightline and gave us more to see. The live piano playing and dancing was great fun and very enjoyable. We'd definitely consider going on another Dandy cruise in the future.
