Saturday July 12, 2008 / 8:00pmComedian Paula Poundstone
How was your experience?
Although her humor is much, much different than his, I was reminded of Billy Connelly. Both get up, look at their watches, talk about whatever comes to mind until they've been on stage for 2 hours (or 2-1/2 for Billy), then say good night. Like Billy, one thing reminds Paula of another. Paula does manage to finish stories usually, unlike Billy. She interacts in a traditional standup manner more than Billy does. She talks a lot about her kids, and she's a little more blue and sharp in her humor than I expected. There was no other act, just two hours of Paula. Even though we were in the balcony we could see fine. A very fun two hours.
