How was your experience?
An excellent show with high production values, and performed wonderfully by a talented cast. Even the children were on par with the adult actors. I did find the video projections to be unnecessary and distracting. Dare I say it... cheesy. Having the actors do set changes is always a plus in moving a story along seamlessly, but having "Tiny Tim" do a set change seemed like an odd choice. Had he done the set change while using a crutch, then I would've bought it. It would've been cruel, but it wouldn't have lessened the impact of his last entrance when he runs out onto stage "lame" free. Okay enough nit-picking. The biggest star of the event would be the renovations to the theater. Cygnet has made this space a jewel. I heard the biggest kudos for Ladies room. If you were there for "A Little Night Music" go back for a visit and you'll know what I mean. Not a bad seat in the house, except for the extreme house right and house left. If you only have a choice of "B" area seats try to get seats closer to center. I can't wait to see "Assassins" at this theater.
