Thursday December 18, 2008 / 7:30pmKirov Ballet: The Nutcracker
How was your experience?
We loved it! It was the most beautiful and wonderfully performed Nutcracker we ever saw. The dancers were superalative, they danced like feathers and never looked tired, but they were, as they did routines that were extremely challenging. The intermissions were a little long, but perhaps the dancers needed some rest. I was not only enchanted by the beauty of Evgenia Obratzova and Vladimir Shklyarov, but taken by the talent of the second string dancers, some 35 or 40 young artist who could fleurish easily in the near future and give a deep "bench" for a famous and old school of the Mariinski Theatre.
