How was your experience?

Clear I hated it I didn't like it It was OK I liked it I loved it!
My wife and I went to this dinner show expecting the same type of entertainment and food as "Medieval Times," which is just down the street from "Pirates." It turns out that the show is just ok. Since it's a pirate-themed show, we were expecting more sword-fighting and hand-to-hand combat. For a good two-thirds of the show, it was mostly musical numbers and acrobatics which is ok if this was a Broadway play or Cirque Du Soleil, but not appropriate for this type of show. It doesn't get better until the last third of the show (when we finally see some more fighting among the pirates). The food itself was good but not great. However, just like "Medieval," it's a four-course meal that has generous portions. The alcoholic drinks are not great (if you choose to get these, it's either Blush wine or Bud Light) but you do get two free rounds. Not bad. In the end, I think the kids will enjoy the show more than the adults. If you have kids, take them. If you don't, I would say stick with "Medieval Times." That's a much more entertaining show if you've never seen it.
