Sad to say, we did not get to have the cruise. There was other events that were going on in Old Sac, the Rivercats were playing and evidently other things. There was no parking available within a walkable distance, so we lost our chance to use our tickets and lost our money. I never had that kind of problem before this. But when nothing is going on around the area, we may try again. We were really sad having to miss using our tickets.

We boarded the ship on a gorgeous hot Mother's Day Sunday afternoon. That was a 5 star day. Since the top deck was full, we found a table inside the ship. As the tour started, we had a difficult time understanding the female guide due to the poor sound system competing with the different sounds on & around the ship (i.e. crowd mumblings, engine noise, other boats passing by, etc.). We felt stuffy and warm inside and couldn't understand the guide so we gave up our table & went outside to the bow thinking it would be better. From there, we still couldn't understand the guide. The views were great, the weather was so perfect, but we didn't understand a word she said. I think the only people who could understand the guide were the ones who found a spot on the upper deck. We were disappointed we didn't learn anything about the history and the landmarks along the river. The only thing we did learn is that you should get a spot on the top deck of the ship.

Nice tour, would have been nice to hear more history about old town Sacramento though.
