35th Annual San Diego Jazz Fest
A longstanding tradition that draws audiences from around the world, the San Diego Jazz Festival is a music lover's dream, with swinging sounds to be heard, danced to and enjoyed throughout Thanksgiving weekend. More than 30 bands and artists are scheduled to play in seven different rooms, providing 12 hours of continuous music each day, ranging from traditional jazz and ragtime to swing and rockabilly. The opening night concert-dance showcases San Diego's own High Society Jazz Band and Detroit's Dave Bennett Quartet. Other highlights include New Orleans-style Second Line parades, a Sunday morning hymn-a-long, a swing dance extravaganza, and special sets dedicated to Louis Armstrong, Tin Pan Alley, Expo 1915 and New Orleans Revival, and much more.
