We at at Ceiba's before the performance! They have a GREAT pre-event 3 course meal for $30 if you show your ticket! The food was AMAZING and it is only a couple blocks from the National Theater.

We took the Metro from Silver Spring after parking in the garage on Wayne Avenue in the block with all the restaurants. The parking turned out to be free. The walks at both ends were very convenient,
We drove in from Dumfries, you can park on the street after 6pm. We lucked out and got a FREE space.
The show starts at 7:30 and ends early enough that you can easily get a drink and take Metro home. (And Metro is only 2 blocks away).

A reasonably-priced meal can be found nearby at Old Ebbitt Grill. Make a reservation as the restaurant can be very crowded.
Cheapest parking garage is on 12th -- Columbia Square -- and you can walk out of the office building on 13th, right around the corner from the National Theatre...

The weather was cold. I wore my coat. Don't check your coat. They had the AC on (this is in Feb)..
Dress warmly! The seats were decent, but it was COLD - almost felt like the a/c was on. Some people were wearing their coats!
