Park in the parking lot west of the Geffen Playhouse for $7 parking. It's close and it's a fair price.

There are many affordable restaurants within a block or two to meet many different tastes.

We got there early, about 6:15 and there was parking at a meter across the street from the Geffen.

The weather was beautiful. I wore a suit. I think getting a bit dressed up for the theater makes a more festive and fun evening..

Our favorite restaurant in Westwood Village is Native Foods on Galey Ave. It is a little bit of a walk but very pleasant in the early evening. The menu is vegan. Don't let that scare you. We have taken many friends to Native Foods and not one has missed the meat.

We had a good, but overpriced dinner at Napa Valley Grill before the theater.

Discounted parking is available under Trader Joes on Glendon BUT it is slow to exit. Not a good system. Patience is required in addition to a credit card.

Small snacks and cocktails for sale. Lots of nice restaurants in the area for dinner before or after. Napa Valley Grille, Tanino, The Glendon Bar, Palomino and the Skylight Bar are a few within walking distance. On the more casual side there is California Pizza Kitchen, Jerry's Deli and In & Out burger. Further down Westwood Blvd. we recommend Fundamentals, Pomodoro or Sunnin.

Parking at the lot down the street is only one dollar less than the garage right next to the theater.

Starting time delayed, probably because there's no intermission.

There are a few tables and seats in the ante room that make the wait for seating time comfortable. If you're solo, there's a nice sized table near an electrical outlet that's ideal for opening up your laptop.

The theater is just off of Westwood Boulevard. There are many shops along that boulevard. The refreshment bar had coffee or wine at very reasonable prices. I think there were also cookies to nibble.

The theater staff was magnificent and very accommodating. It was a wonderful experience. The usher instructed me on how to reach my seat on the other side of the row. The only negative was two patrons who refused to allow me to pass them in order to reach the seat. I had to use another row occupied by half a dozen or so people instead of just two.
