The early bird catches the worm as the saying goes! I parked right in front of the theatre for free on Sunday. The lot across the street was only $5 cash only.

Their coffee carafe holds about 8-10 servings of coffee and they do not refill it. Once it's gone, it's gone. If you're the type who needs coffee at intermission, try to be the first at the concession stand for coffee. If not, dunkin donuts is less than a block away on Forsyth.

The landmark diner is right at the corner. If that's your style. It's convenient if not anything else because you can remain in your parking spot and walk there.

The weather was mildly cool 70's and gorgeous. I wore shawl over a blouse, jeans and small heel..

Make sure you use the parking provided by the venue. We were unaware and frazzled by the time we got there and paid expensive parking.

Check traffic and special events that might make travel difficult and slow. We didn't.

Follow the theater's instructions and park in the LAZ parking on Cone Street - the same side as the theater. They had a $4 parking voucher available. We were confused because the signage mentioned something about paying in advance - which didn't make any sense. It was actually a normal parking garage. You collect your ticket when you enter, and you pay as you exit. You probably figure that out quicker than I, but just in case...

Dune before you go because there are only snacks sold. We actually went to Georgia's Juke Joint after the play.

Park in the LAZ multi story car park on the corner of Cone Street and Luckie Street. You'll only be a few steps from the Theater. On your way out of the theater see the box office staff, pay $4 and they'll give you a parking pass. Parking is $5 all day on Saturday and Sunday. I can't remember the rates at other times.

We arrived early to have dinner before the performance. The Landmark Diner, just 1/2 block away on Luckie Street, is not fancy, but had a varied menu at reasonable prices. They have a full bar plus the food was delicious and service was fast and excellent.

We rode MARTA and it was very easy, very close and a short enjoyable walk of about two blocks from the Peachtree Center Station to the Balzer Theatre at Herren's.

Be sure to give yourself enough time, since the roads around Fairlie-Poplar continue to get torn up for streetcar construction.

We enjoyed Slice, a pizza place nearby. Theatrical Outfit has several other suggestions on their website, as well.

Loved the no intermission as long patrons are aware when picking up tickets which did not happen.
