There is $13 valet parking at the Royal George, but we prefer to try to find less expensive options, which we did--go just a short walk west of Halsted, and the meters are only $2/hr.--it's a 90 min. play with no intermissions, so you're good to go with the 2 hour meters.

Parking hard but we used, without any problem, the Steppenwolf Garage across the street for $10.

We decided on a pre- theatre lunch at Twin Anchors on Sedgewick about a half mile walk from the theatre. You can't go wrong with this iconic BBQ Chicago institution.

Although area is congested, we found street parking easily for the matinee. We parked on Larabee and walked a short distance to the theatre. Beware - permit required after 6!

We valet parked for $13 and went to dinner afterwards at Trattoria Gianni down the street. You would be silly to park anywhere else for the convenience of valet.

street parking was not hard to find, ate at Trattori Gianni before the play, had an amazing meal, overall an easy experience for someone who doesn't normally drive into the city

Friday nights in the city means that cabs can be hard to get so try to be early when arriving and when you get there, try to be dropped off a block away so you can just walk over.
