In September 2006, Victory Gardens Theater opened a 299-seat mainstage at the landmark Biograph Theater, a site known for its complex and storied history. The Chicago Tribune called the renovated space "beautiful…gorgeously restored!"

The theater features roomy, comfortable seats with ample legroom, incredible acoustical design, fantastic sightlines, and the world of the stage at your fingertips.

In the summer of 2009, the VG opened the Upstairs Studio stage. Victory Gardens’ brand-new state-of-the-art upstairs studio space is named after Chicago Tribune Chief Critic Emeritus Richard Christiansen. Seating 109, the Richard Christiansen Theater maintains intimacy while allowing comfort for both audience and performers.
