To manage and promote a world class, multi-use, public assembly facility with an emphasis on agriculture, education, entertainment and recreation in a fiscally sound and environmentally conscientious manner for the benefit of all.
General Information

About UsThe 22nd District Agricultural Association manages and operates the Del Mar Fairgrounds and its nearby equestrian facility, Horsepark, on behalf of the State of California. No tax monies are used in the operation of these facilities. The 22nd DAA is the promoter for five annual events: the Del Mar National Horse Show in April, the San Diego County Fair in June/July, The Scream Zone in October, Enviro Fair in November and the Holiday of Lights in December. There are approximately 350 events at the Fairgrounds and Horsepark each year. They include weddings, receptions, bar and bas mitzvahs, dog shows, gun shows, home shows and other social and consumer events. In addition, the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club operates the annual live horse racing meet in July through September on behalf of the 22nd DAA.

The Del Mar Fairgrounds is located 20 miles north of downtown San Diego, at 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd. in the city of Del Mar, California.
