There is ussually a lot of street parking in the neighborhood, but we went on Friday night and Cruising Grand caused the street to be blocked off. There's still parking within a block and a half but be aware that you can't drive on Grand to get there on Fridays.

The Patio theater is tucked behind and between a couple streetside vendors/eating spots. Easy to miss the first time.

The venue at The Patio Playhouse is casual but for myself being from the big city, I believe that when going to the theater to see professional artists, a more dressed up and neat attire rather than shorts/jeans is more respectful.

Loads of places to eat in downtown Escondido. There are soft drinks and snacks at the theater, and you can get wine and beer at the deli right outside.

If you go on a Cruisin' Grand Friday night, there's still plenty of local street parking if you don't mind walking a few blocks.

I wore A long sleeve shirt and it was quite warm in the theatre. Some were fanning themselves, however, it was opening night and I hope that the room temperature issue is resolved..

Go to Vinz across the patio from the playhouse for drinks and dinner after the show. Unexpected nice surprise! Good drinks, excellent meals, easy prices, fun atmosphere.

The theater is small. They sell refreshments for about $2. and the courtyard of the theater is where you find the bathrooms, so dress for the weather of the day. It is a casual theater.
