Bring wool cap, warm gloves, maybe a camera
Be sure to hide any valuables and lock your car. Theft is not uncommon.
You may get stuck in the mud if you walk too close to the water.
Bring clothes to change into afterwards
Do NOT wear sandals/flip flops. The surface (seaweed) is slippery and recommend shoes with a grip.
Walking stick might be useful if you're concerned about slipping.
It's rain or shine folks....be prepared. We were out for 3.5 hours and it was raining..but fabulous!
Get a mussel gathering licence
Sweater or fishing wadera
If not sure-footed, bring a walking stick.
Wear rubber boots and a wind breaker type of parka.
Portal potty at the parking lot
Arrive early to get a close spot.
Shoes will get dirty and wet.
Flashlight might be helpful if meeting in the afternoon
Layered clothing for very cold or warm conditions
Bring water to drink
Bring fishing licence
