The Hudson Avenue Theatre is an intimate venue that presents works ranging from a one person show (like the LA Times critics choice The Very Worst of Varla Jean Merman) to a large cast musical (LA Weekly Best Musical winner: Medea: The Musical) or drama (The Talented Tenth starring Robert Guillaume).

In addition to their theatrical success, the Hudson has also launched some of their shows onto the big screen. My Big Fat Greek Wedding received its world premiere at the Hudson and was made into a film by Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks' production company. Titus, the Fox television show starring Christopher Titus, was originally performed for the stage at the Hudson under the title Norman Rockwell is Bleeding.
