Uber is the only way, unless you're coming in from out of town or just really parking and walking.

If you can, park at the Theater District Parking Garage! The garage had an entrance from underground straight to Jones Hall. It was only $10 and security offered a ride on their golf cart to the entrance and to our car after the show.

I wore a nice sunday dress. Wear church clothes or something like jeans and a nice blouse, button down shirt..

Good luck trying to find a parking place on the streets. Most parking around Jones Hall is still almost non-existent, and if you see a street where you think you can park, check carefully to see if the meter station has a "hood" over it. If it does, don't risk getting a $75 parking ticket.

The weather was Rainy. I wore Heels. I recommend flats only because parking is quite a distance away..

Try to get good seats. The mezzanine seats we ok. I just felt I would've had a better experience if I were closer.

Try to get the best seats you can afford for this location. Anything on the main floor seems to be good. It's just my experience with sitting in the upper level that people's heads always block the stage, especially for my 10 yr old son. I'm 5-3 and some times have a hard time looking around someone sitting in front of me.

Eat dinner before/after attending an event at Jones Hall. Even though they offer food, unless you arrive 60+ minutes before you will not have time to order and pleasantly have time to eat your food. Don't even think about tying to order anything but a drink during intermission, you will not have time to wait in line, order and drink a bottle of coke. Just as you take your first sip, you are chimed back in and reminded that there is no late seating.

use the underground parking levels which are next door and the walk way brings you to the front door of Jones Hall. $8-10 per event.

We parked in garage #4 which is connected to Jones Hall. You don't even have to walk out on the street. It was $7. We got there about an hour before the performance began and were able to park on the first level.

We went on a weeknight, less crowded downtown, we went early, no rushing. Plus, they are doing so much road work (that we didn't know about) we had to drive slower to get around. We had plenty of time to park in the Theatre District Garage $7, (which I had looked up online before we left so we would know how much), but didn't have to worry about safety, or security as much & we walked underground to/from the venue (just in case it was raining). Just an observation: I noticed some people don't bother dressing any different than being at their house, but it's always nice to, at least, dress business casual when you go out. That's part of making it a "special" night for everyone. Kids don't always know this so it's something you may have to teach them, that's how they learn for later, when they are on their own. You don't want them to be embarassed.
