About STAPLES Center

Lakers games, arena pop concerts, boxing matches, professional wrestling — some of the biggest and most thrilling events in the city can be found at the STAPLES Center, which can seat over 20,000 screaming fans. Boasting 250 events and nearly 4 million guests a year, the massive indoor venue is the only arena in the NBA that’s shared by two teams (the Lakers and the Clippers). And if you’re looking to make a night of your sporting event or concert, the STAPLES Center is adjacent to L.A. Live, which is packed with fun places to grab a bite, grab a drink or grab a bowling ball and take in a match before or after your main event.

The mishaps and difficulties had me upset when I arrived. The venue personnel provided GREAT customer service. All you have to do is calmly explain what you want, what you need, and they will try to work out a satisfactory resolution. This was my first visit to the Arena. In the end, it proved to be a very satisfying one.

I wound up having transportation problems and arrived just as intermission started. It was necessary to walk around the entire perimeter of the arena in order to reach Will Call. And that hike was after walking from the bus stop at Flower and Pico. I was not happy about that part of the experience. I didn't want to miss more of the performance because of searching for my seat. Because of the hike, I learned that one can take the Red Line and transfer to the Blue Line and have a very comfortable and timely trip. Or you can take the Red Line and transfer to the Dash bus and be dropped off right in front of the Arena.

The weather was sunny outside, VERY air-conditioned inside. Some people were chilly.. I wore shorts and short-sleeved shirt... bring a sweater or sweatshirt with you if you tend to get chilly..
