About Golden Gate Park
All guests must be age 12 or older. Guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Pregnant guests are not allowed on the tour. All guests must weigh between 100 and 250 pounds (45 to 113 kilos) and may not wear flip-flops, open-toe sandals, or high heels. Bike tours: You must be age 16 or older to participate in this tour. Those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. There is a 5'2" height requirement to take part in the tour. The suggested minimum weight for any rider is 85 lbs (39 kg). The bikes weigh 70 lbs (32 kg) and will need to be pedaled up hills on some parts of the route. All riders will be required to pedal 1.7 miles (2.73 km) on the Golden Gate Bridge without using the power assist. Helmets are required and will be provided. (You may bring your own helmet.) It is suggested that you do not wear flip-flops, open-toe sandals, or high heels, and that you do not carry heavy backpacks. Dress according to the weather; remember the waterfront is often cool and damp compared to the rest of the city. You will be required to sign a liability waiver. Any damages to the bike or property are the responsibility of the rider. Guests must complete the electric bike rider training and test ride. Guests who do not pass the test ride will be refunded 50% ($17.38) of the cost. Training takes place at the beginning of the event, and lasts approximately 15 minutes. On the tour, you must respect road signs, pedestrians, bikes and cars for a safe enjoyable ride. Pregnant women are not allowed on this tour. Price does not include gratuity for the tour guide. It does include the price of the ferry back to San Francisco ($9.50). The ferry back to San Francisco may be delayed due to high demand, especially in the summer months.
