go early to get parking, there is street parking and two lots nearby. we were lucky as the ticket machine was broken so we parked on the street 1 block away for free! if willing to walk, there is free parking on side streets further away.

Parking was $10 at the convention center, but it was very convenient. We entered the Convention Center garage by the enterence next to the Hilton.

Had dinner at Scott's Seafood before, then walked across the street to the show. Had drinks and snacks inside that you could take to your seat...great place!

The further you get from the theater the easier it is to park -- as long as you don't mind the walk.

If you're going to any event at the San Jose Center for Performing Arts, consider having dinner and/or after dinner drinks at Paolo's. It's been there forever, and there's a reason for that! You can park in the structure, (enter on Woz Way), enjoy dinner, then just walk over the Guadalupe River bridge and you're at the Center! A whole evening of entertainment in one spot. :-)

They had mostly snacks and beverages available at the concessions. Didn't notice anything substantial to eat (wasn't looking, though). It's so close to downtown, so there's a lot of great dining options nearby for before or after.

Try to not get close-to-aisle seats: sitting on heels & miss portion of stage action. As in any large theater & seats not close: take opera glasses.

I was told that the best parking is in the Adobe building, just across the street - $5 for the event (twice what we paid).

Parking at the Hyatt Place across the street is so easy then gather your friends in their little bar. Very close to venue and a pleasant place to grab a snack & glass of wine before the show.
